Traineeships partners – public institutions, NGOs and companies – within the project “Vocational counseling, internships and simulated enterprise: an extra chance in finding a job for students following specializations in public administration, communication, public relations and advertising“(HRD / 161 / 2.1 / G / 137 510) are keen to continue to offer internship places for students at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences.
During the interim evaluation of internships workshop, held on April 28, 2015, tutors and supervisors involved have concluded that internships organized within the project provided an added value to the organization of these types of internships. Thus, both the tutors of public institutions, NGOs and companies and faculty supervisors felt that students’ motivation and the quality of internships have been improved by some specific activities such as clearly defining the activities that will involve students before beginning the practical realization of the work plan with students, and the flexibility of the schedule. As regards to the flexible working program, it enabled the organizations to involve all students selected for activities and get valuable professional experiences, while students were encouraged not to neglect college course.
Also in the workshop, tutors and supervisors agreed that for the organization of the internships, it was very important to communicate directly with students and establish a working plan together; they also agreed that in certain activities that require more knowledge and professional skills it is more strategic to engage especially students in the last grade; while for students in the first year of study is important to identify activities or institutions that can involve them according the knowledge and skills they have in the first year of college.
So far, about 150 students from the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences took part in the internships organized Cluj organization.
