Internships and virtual enterprises

Through “Career counselling, internships and virtual enterprises: a chance for employment for students in public administration, communication, public relations and advertising” (POSDRU/161/1.2/G/137510) project, we provide high quality internships and entrepreneurship education to students from The College of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), from “Babeș-Bolyai” University. The project was implemented by FSPAC in partnership with Fundatia Danis in May 2014-November 2015.

Together with our partners, we enhance the work skills of 360 FSPAC students (public administration, communication, public relations, and advertising majors), through career counselling, internships and virtual enterprises run by students.

Thus, in 2015, we provided entrepreneurship education to 60 students through innovative methods; the students learned how to open and run a business by creating and managing six virtual enterprises (also known as practice enterprises). Moreover, we directly supported 144 students who benefited from meaningful internship experiences in 10 organizations from Cluj-Napoca.

“My experience within the virtual enterprise was similar with one you could live in a real enterprise. It was not easy, we had to work a lot, but everything was meaningful, because now I have a different view over the way in which a company runs, and I can adapt easily now to the work requests of any company”. (Cosmin Jărdianu, FSPAC student)

The project was co-financed by European Social Fund, through Operational Sectorial Programme for Human Resources Development 2007-2013, Priority 2 “Connecting learning with the labour market”, Intervention field 2.1 “Transition from school to active life”. The budget managed by Fundatia Danis was approximately €29,000.
