I SEE YOU team is pleased to announced that all the educational resources created in the project are available online at http://www.iseeyou-network.eu/resources-2/, and these can be used by any young person or organization interested in developing young people’s entrepreneurship competences and skills.
Thus, among the resources created, young people and youth organizations or other institutions involved in entrepreneurship education might be interested in:
- The computer business simulation game – Unlock Social Enterprise, developed by Totem Learning (UK), in collaboration with the I SEE YOU partners;
- The social entrepreneurship training developed by UNED (Spain), in collaboration with the I SEE YOU partners;
- The business angels director, with information on business angels and business angels networks from Italy, Spain, Ireland, UK, Austria, Slovakia and Romania, developed by WestBIC (Ireland), in collaboration with the I SEE YOU partners;
- The Migrant / Minority Inclusion Strategy Paper, which analyzes the situation of young migrant entrepreneurs in Europe and the obstacles they face in becoming self-employed, developed by Programme Integra (Italy), in collaboration with the I SEE YOU partners;
- and the national reports on entrepreneurship competences developed by all the partners and put together in a comparative report by FH Joanneum University (Austria).
The I SEE YOU project started in 2014, and it was implemented by seven organizations from Austria, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The project aimed to develop the entrepreneurship skills and competences of unemployed young people, who have an interest in creating their own social business and have an affinity for technology.
Within the 2015-2016 project activities, more than 100 young people had access to entrepreneurship training and learn how to manage a real business through an innovative business simulation game. At the same time, the young people worked in international teams that allow them to establish their first business network. Moreover, they gained information about how to approach business angels and how to pitch their business plans to potential investors.
The young people involved in the project were young people (18-30 years old) from the seven European countries mentioned above. Special consideration was given to young persons with minority or migrant background, as they are usually facing additional barriers in entering the labour market or the business environment.
“I SEE YOU” was financed by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ program, and it was run by organizations with extensive experience in entrepreneurship education and providing support for young entrepreneurs. The project was coordinated by FH Joanneum, from Graz, Austria, which brought together other six organizations: Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (Spain), Programma Integra (Italy), Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (Slovakia), WestBIC (Ireland), Totem Learning (UK), and Danis Foundation for Managerial Development (Romania).
